The focus of this workshop is to learn the fundamentals of colour mixing using 3 primary colours along with the benefits of a limited colour palette. The first day will be focused on understanding the colour wheel and making colour charts that will provide you with guidance and reference for future work. The second day will be creating colour studies using different colour schemes, neutrals and value tones. This workshop will culminate in a finished painting 14”x18” or larger, where you will be able to choose a colour scheme based on the new understanding of colour you’ve gained from the exercises and lessons in class!
Understanding the science of colour will not only grow your painting practice but guarantee harmonious colour in your paintings!
